After the success of the first WASM Graduates' Association gathering in Brisbane in July, the folks in the sunny state have decided to host a Family BBQ Day.

On Sunday 12th September, WASM Graduates are encouraged to bring along their partners and kids to the New Farm Park, Brunswick Street, New Farm.  Catering is yet to be confirmed, and again depends on numbers.  With a positive response from members, we are likely to get a sponsor for the day.  You will however need to bring your own chairs and drinks!

This year, WASM is co-hosting this well recognised international conference that focuses on the novel developments of all aspects of mine planning as well as equipment. 

Papers are being sought on the theory and application of mine planning as well as equipment selection focus.  All papers in the symposium will be refereed and a high level of industry involvement, including a strong presence from WASM Graduates is being sought.

Closing date for papers to be submitted is 5th March 2010.
